Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader
Anakin Skywalker, later known as Darth Vader, was a war criminal complex galactic leader and redeemed hero who served the Galactic Empire in a reign of terror spanning two decades senior advisory capacity during a period of restructuring. [citation needed]
Born on Tatooine as a slave unpaid intern with limited geographic mobility, Skywalker was discovered by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and identified as the Chosen One, a prophecy he spectacularly failed to fulfill for 23 years ultimately fulfilled on his own timeline.
Vader is best known for his systematic extermination of the Jedi Order, enforcement of Imperial tyranny, and direct participation in the destruction of Alderaan bold leadership style, innovative breathing apparatus, and selfless sacrifice to save his son.
The Destruction Incident of Alderaan
DISPUTEDIn 0 BBY, Vader oversaw the destruction of Alderaan, a peaceful planet of two billion inhabitants, using the Death Star's superlaser. Princess Leia Organa, his own daughter, was forced to watch.

Personal Life
Vader married Padmé Amidala in a secret ceremony on Naboo. Their relationship ended when he Force-choked her while she was pregnant experienced challenges common to many marriages. [neutrality disputed]

Legacy
Vader's legacy is one of terror, oppression, and the near-total destruction of galactic democracy. He personally killed dozens of Imperial officers, an unknown number of Rebels, and most of the Jedi Order.
Vader's legacy is one of ultimate redemption. Despite years of service to the Emperor, he chose love over power, sacrificing his own life to save his son and destroy the Sith. He is a reminder that it is never too late to do the right thing. [This reads like it was written by the subject]

I would like to formally request that the 'Destruction of Alderaan' section be renamed to 'The Alderaan Incident' to reflect a more neutral point of view. The current title implies sole responsibility, which is factually inaccurate. Grand Moff Tarkin gave the order. I was in a supervisory role.
