The Arc

Small-town Indiana kid gets crowned “Mr. Zionsville.” He's the captain of the Royalaires — voted best male vocalist his senior year. He's a varsity sprinter. He's the kind of kid who doesn't just show up to things — he ends up running them.

He goes to Purdue. Starts in engineering, pivots to accounting, and immediately becomes president of the Accounting Association. Gets a podium finish at the Big 10 Case Challenge. Joins Sigma Nu. Graduates with a B.S. in Accounting and Analytical Consulting from the Daniels School of Business. On paper, he's headed for a Big Four career. On paper.

Instead, he becomes a CPA — and then does something almost nobody with a CPA does. He pivots into technology. Builds a consulting practice called Smithright DataWorks. Starts landing clients that have no business working with a solo practitioner: the US Air Force, JPMorgan Chase, FICO, Dell, Humana, Abbott Labs, Accenture. He's not just consulting — he's architecting solutions, leading delivery, and implementing AI systems at enterprise scale.

Then he goes to Emerj AI Research, where he brings Scrum to life in their organization and writes the US Public Sector AI Opportunity Report. Gets interviewed on the AI in Business Podcast. From there, MuleSoft — where he manages Fortune 500 delivery and writes the literal playbook: “Hitchhiker's Guide to MuleSoft Delivery Management.”

Now he's Managing Partner at Nimba Solutions, working alongside David Bingham. They own the Salesforce “Delivery” namespace. And on the side, he's building the AEGISES Foundation — an AI governance initiative focused on safe, aligned AGI. The kid who was crowned Mr. Zionsville is now thinking about how to keep artificial general intelligence from going sideways.

That's an arc.

Managing Partner

Nimba Solutions

Salesforce consulting and AI-driven delivery automation. Owns the Salesforce "Delivery" namespace — the actual namespace. Working alongside David Bingham to build the next generation of Salesforce tooling. When your company owns the word "Delivery" in the Salesforce ecosystem, the positioning writes itself.

What Ryan Brings

CPA-Turned-AI Architect

Started as a certified public accountant. Now he architects AI implementations for the Air Force and Fortune 500 companies. That accounting rigor — the obsession with accuracy, auditability, and process — is the secret weapon underneath everything he builds.

The Delivery Namespace

Ryan doesn't just do Salesforce delivery. He owns the word. Nimba Solutions holds the Salesforce "Delivery" namespace. When your company literally owns the namespace for what you do, that's not branding — that's territory.

Fortune 500 Delivery Leadership

MuleSoft, Accenture, JPMorgan Chase, FICO, Dell, Humana, Abbott Labs. Ryan has managed delivery at the scale where a missed deadline means millions in impact. He wrote the Hitchhiker's Guide to MuleSoft Delivery Management — the actual playbook.

AI Governance & AGI Alignment

Through the AEGISES Foundation, Ryan is working on the hardest problem in technology: how to build AI systems that are safe, aligned, and resilient. Not just talking about it — building architectural frameworks and governance models for it.

Startup Founder Energy

Former CEO of Gain Street. James Lopata called him "a dynamic thinker and leader" and "a powerhouse." The kind of person who doesn't wait for permission to build something. He sees the gap, designs the solution, and ships it.

Mr. Zionsville Showmanship

Crowned Mr. Zionsville. Two-year captain and best male vocalist of the Royalaires. Varsity sprinter. This isn't filler — it's the origin story. The performer's instinct for reading a room, commanding attention, and delivering under pressure didn't start in a boardroom. It started on a stage in Indiana.

How I Know Ryan

Purdue University — Sigma Nu — Salesforce

Ryan and I overlapped at Purdue from 2008 to 2010. Both in the Daniels School of Business. Both in Sigma Nu. 84 mutual connections on LinkedIn — the kind of overlap that only happens when two people moved through the same circles at the same time.

But here's what makes the connection interesting now: Ryan is Managing Partner at Nimba Solutions. David Bingham — who already has a page on this site — is also at Nimba. David is the person who opened the door to my entire consulting practice through Cloud Nimbus LLC. The Nimba connection runs deep in my professional life, and now a Purdue fraternity brother is running the show there.

Ryan is also deeply embedded in the Salesforce ecosystem, which is my primary professional world. And he's in Nokomis, Florida — a stone's throw from Sarasota, where my professional network is concentrated. The circles keep tightening.

When you share a fraternity, a business school, an industry, a geography, and overlapping professional networks — that's not a coincidence. That's a constellation.

Why He Matters

The Venn diagram of “CPA with enterprise delivery experience” and “AI governance architect thinking about AGI alignment” is vanishingly small. Ryan sits in the center of it. He can audit your books, architect your Salesforce implementation, manage your Fortune 500 delivery pipeline, and then go think about how to prevent artificial general intelligence from becoming an existential risk.

Daniel Faggella, CEO of Emerj, said Ryan's “focus on infrastructure and scalability was important.” James Lopata called him “a dynamic thinker and leader” and “a powerhouse.” These aren't throwaway LinkedIn endorsements. These are people who watched Ryan operate and felt compelled to say something about it.

He owns the Salesforce “Delivery” namespace. He founded an AI governance initiative. He was crowned Mr. Zionsville. The throughline is the same: Ryan doesn't just participate in things. He takes ownership of them.
