Catherine Nolan
Project Manager and Business Analyst at Innovate! Inc. The PM who drove the EPA OPPT Program Plan from inception through deployment. 249 shared calendar events. The person who kept everything moving forward.
The Arc
Some people in Salesforce are developers. Some are admins. Some are architects. Catherine is the person who makes sure all of those people actually deliver something. She's the project manager who doesn't just schedule meetings — she drives the work. Sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives. The full agile process, run with rigor and consistency, project after project, year after year.
At Innovate! Inc., Catherine was the PM and BA for some of the most complex EPA Salesforce projects the team ever built. The OPPT Program Plan was a massive multi-year effort, and Catherine was the one who organized it from requirements gathering through deployment. When the EAD system needed to be built from scratch, Catherine owned it end to end — from the MASTER Workbook through architecture resolution through delivery.
She's been working with Salesforce since 2014. One active certification. But certifications don't tell the story. 249 calendar events where “Catherine organized this meeting” — that tells the story.

How I Know Catherine
Innovate! Inc. — EPA Salesforce projects, side by side
Catherine and I worked together at Innovate! on EPA projects. She was the PM who kept everything running — sprint planning, daily scrums, reviews, retrospectives. When I was deep in APEX code building the OPPT Program Plan, Catherine was the one making sure it all connected to the requirements, the timeline, and the client's actual needs.
249 calendar events of “Catherine organized this meeting” tells you everything you need to know about who drove those projects forward. She didn't just attend meetings. She scheduled them, facilitated them, captured the action items, and followed up until they were done. Sprint after sprint, project after project.
The meeting titles alone paint the picture: “Check in on Sprint 1,” “Prep for Sprint Review,” “EAD — bringing this across the finish line,” “DEPLOY OPPT PROGRAM PLAN.” That last one — the all-caps deploy event — that's the kind of milestone you remember. Catherine got us there.
She also had a knack for connecting people. Meeting titles like “Glen + Larry + Mark connect Program Plan Rebuild — Loop in Catherine?” show how central she was to making sure the right people were talking to each other at the right time.
Why She Matters
Every developer knows the difference between a good PM and a bad one. A bad PM schedules meetings, sends status updates, and asks “is it done yet?” A good PM understands the work, clears the blockers, keeps the client aligned, and drives the project to delivery. Catherine is the good kind.
The OPPT Program Plan was not a small project. It was a multi-year, multi-sprint Salesforce build for a federal program office. Catherine organized it from the first requirements session through deployment and into ongoing support. She ran the brown bags. She managed the user access. She kept the whole thing moving when it would have been easy for it to stall.
Innovate! was a great place to work. Catherine was a big part of why.
