The 1926 Aeolian-Skinner Organ

Trinity's grand pipe organ is one hundred years old. It has been heard in Miami longer than most of Miami has been Miami.

Built 1926 by Aeolian-Skinner

Trinity's pipe organ is a 1926 Aeolian-Skinner — one of the most celebrated American pipe-organ builders of the 20th century. The instrument has anchored the cathedral's music program for a century.

An American pipe-organ icon

Aeolian-Skinner organs were the gold standard for American cathedrals, concert halls, and university chapels in the early-to-mid 20th century. To still have a 1926 instrument in regular use, in its original cathedral home, is a thing worth celebrating.

The room is part of the instrument

Pipe organs are designed for the rooms they live in. Trinity's nave shapes the sound. When you hear the organ here, you are hearing an instrument and an architecture that grew up together.

Music Director

The cathedral's music calendar is programmed and performed by the Organist and Music Director.
