The Mandalorian single-handedly rescued Star Wars. After the divisive sequel trilogy, Jon Favreau created a show that captured the original trilogy's sense of adventure and stripped it down to its essence: a lone gunfighter and a child, wandering the galaxy. Pedro Pascal made Din Djarin iconic while wearing a helmet for virtually every scene. Grogu — Baby Yoda — became the biggest pop culture sensation since the original trilogy's characters. The show proved that Star Wars works best when it is small, personal, and focused on characters rather than mythology. Season 1 and early Season 2 are the best Star Wars content produced since the original films.
