The Review

Succession is the sharpest, most venomous television show ever made. Jesse Armstrong created a Shakespearean tragedy about a media dynasty that is simultaneously hilarious, devastating, and addictive. The Roy family — Logan, Kendall, Shiv, Roman, and Connor — are monsters, and yet you cannot look away. The dialogue is the best on television since Deadwood: every scene is a knife fight conducted in boardrooms and private jets. Jeremy Strong's Kendall Roy is the tragic figure of his generation — a man destroyed by the very thing he most desperately wants. The finale is devastating because it gives everyone exactly what they deserve.

Fun Fact

Brian Cox was initially reluctant to commit to a TV series and only agreed after being promised that Logan Roy would dominate every scene he appeared in.
