Hannibal is the most visually stunning drama in television history. Bryan Fuller transformed Thomas Harris's characters into an operatic fever dream of murder tableaux, sumptuous cuisine, and psychological warfare. Mads Mikkelsen's Hannibal Lecter is arguably superior to Anthony Hopkins's — more seductive, more alien, more terrifying in his elegance. Three seasons of astonishing television that was cancelled far too soon.
Fun Fact
The food stylist, Janice Poon, created real edible dishes for every 'human meat' scene, and she published a cookbook inspired by the show's recipes — with conventional protein substitutions.
