Kingpin in Into the Spider-Verse is the most visually imposing animated villain ever created — a mountain of a man whose body fills entire frames, whose shoulders are wider than doorways, and whose tiny head sits atop a black monolith of muscle. Liev Schreiber voices him with a quiet menace that belies his enormous physicality. His motivation — to use a supercollider to retrieve his dead wife and son from another dimension — gives the villain genuine pathos.
