About Penn High School
Penn High School is one of the largest and most accomplished public high schools in Indiana. Located in Mishawaka, Penn serves the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation and draws students from across the northern Indiana region. With enrollment exceeding 3,500, Penn offers the breadth of programs you would expect from a large school — but with a competitive intensity that sets it apart.
The academic programs at Penn are comprehensive and demanding. The school offers more than 20 AP courses, an International Baccalaureate-style curriculum approach, and dual-credit partnerships with local colleges. Penn's robotics program has earned national recognition, competing at the FIRST Robotics level and inspiring a generation of students to pursue engineering and technology careers. The school's academic teams regularly place at state competitions in science, math, and engineering.
Penn is an athletic powerhouse in northern Indiana. The Kingsmen compete in one of the state's toughest conferences and have won state championships across multiple sports including cross country, swimming, soccer, baseball, and tennis. The school's cross country program is legendary — Penn has produced some of the best distance runners in Indiana history. The swimming program is equally elite, and the soccer teams are consistently ranked among the best in the state.
What truly distinguishes Penn is its culture. Northern Indiana breeds a work ethic born from the region's manufacturing and agricultural heritage. Penn students carry that grit into the classroom and onto the field. Graduates of Penn go on to succeed at top universities and in careers across engineering, medicine, business, and beyond. The school embodies the competitive drive and resilience that defines the best of Indiana.

Personal Note
Full disclosure: I went here. Kingsmen forever. Penn gave me the foundation — the work ethic, the competitive drive, the engineering mindset — that made everything else possible.
