Why They Rank

Four championships, Finals MVP, and the fastest point guard of his generation. Parker's penetration, floater, and partnership with Duncan and Ginobili produced one of the most successful dynasties in NBA history.

The Career

Tony Parker was the fastest point guard with the ball in NBA history and the engine of the San Antonio Spurs dynasty that won four championships (2003, 2005, 2007, 2014). His 2007 Finals MVP — averaging 24.5 points per game on 56.8% shooting to sweep the Cavaliers — was the defining performance of his career, as he dismantled LeBron James's defense with a speed and craft that no one could contain.

Parker's game was built around penetration. His first step was explosive, his floater in the lane was the most reliable in the league, and his ability to navigate through traffic and finish at the rim with either hand made him virtually impossible to keep out of the paint. He was the youngest point guard to win a Finals MVP at age 25 and the first European-born player to receive the award.

Parker's partnership with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili formed the longest-tenured Big Three in NBA history and the most successful international trio in basketball. Four championships across 17 seasons together is a dynasty by any definition. Parker's evolution from raw athletic talent to cerebral floor general — mastering the pick-and-roll and mid-range game as his speed declined — showed a basketball intelligence that sustained his excellence for over a decade.
