How Net Worth Percentiles Work
Your net worth percentile tells you what percentage of people you have more wealth than. If you're at the 75th percentile, you have a higher net worth than 75% of people in your comparison group.
Age matters enormously. A 25-year-old with $100,000 is in a very different position than a 55-year-old with the same amount. That's why this calculator compares you to your age group first, then to all Americans.
Data is based on the Federal Reserve's Survey of Consumer Finances, adjusted for inflation to 2026 estimates. These represent household net worth (all assets minus all liabilities, including home equity).
