A Day in Glen's Life
What a typical day looks like when you live on Miami Beach, invest in public equities, consult on Salesforce, build websites, kiteboard when the wind is right, and play Rocket League when it's not.
No two days are identical, but the structure is consistent. I believe in non-negotiable habits (fitness, reading, research) with flexible blocks for whatever the day demands. Some days the wind blows and everything stops for kiteboarding. Some days I am deep in SEC filings until midnight. The structure holds, the details flex.
I work remotely from Miami Beach. No commute, no office, no state income tax. The tradeoff is discipline: when your office is 100 feet from the ocean, you need structure or nothing gets done. Here is how I solve that.
Morning
6:00 AM – 8:30 AM
Wake Up
No alarm. I wake up when the sun comes in. Miami Beach mornings are too good to sleep through.
- •Glass of water with salt and lemon
- •5 minutes of morning sunlight exposure on the balcony
- •Quick scan of pre-market futures and overnight news
Fitness
The non-negotiable. I train every single day. The form varies, the habit does not.
- •Alternate between running the Boardwalk and strength training
- •Boardwalk runs: 4-6 miles along the ocean from Mid-Beach south
- •Strength days: bodyweight and kettlebells at home or Muscle Beach at Lummus Park
- •Raven has run 8 miles every day for 50+ years. That is the standard.
Reading & Coffee
The best hour of the day. Coffee, a book, and the morning light.
- •Panther Coffee cold brew (made at home or picked up from Sunset Harbour)
- •30-45 minutes of reading: investing books, biographies, history
- •Currently in a rotation of Buffett shareholder letters and naval strategy
- •No phone, no email, no social media during this block
Work — Morning Block
8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Investing Research
Deep work on investment theses. This is where the real edge comes from.
- •SEC filings: 10-Ks, 10-Qs, proxy statements, insider transactions
- •Long positions: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac remain the core thesis
- •Macro analysis: interest rates, housing data, GSE reform updates
- •Write research notes and update models in spreadsheets
Building & Coding
Building glenbradford.com, working on projects, and writing code.
- •Next.js + TypeScript + Tailwind for web development
- •Salesforce consulting: platform administration, Apex, Lightning Web Components
- •Delivery Hub and other side projects
- •Claude Code for AI-assisted development
Lunch Break
Keep it simple. Eat clean. The Miami Beach food scene makes this easy.
- •La Sandwicherie on 14th Street when I am in South Beach
- •Home-cooked meals: protein, vegetables, olive oil, simple ingredients
- •Mark Sisson's primal approach to nutrition is the guiding framework
- •No processed food, no seed oils, no sugar
Afternoon
1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Salesforce Consulting
Client work. Solving problems on the Salesforce platform for businesses.
- •Platform administration and configuration
- •Custom development: Apex triggers, Lightning Web Components, Flows
- •Data migration, integration, and reporting
- •Remote work from home or Sunset Harbour co-working spaces
Kiteboarding (When the Wind Is Right)
If the wind is blowing 15+ knots, everything else stops. This is the priority.
- •Check wind reports: iKitesurf, Windy, and local forecasts
- •Drive to Crandon Park or Virginia Key (20 minutes from Miami Beach)
- •2-3 hour sessions on the water, usually until sunset
- •The trade winds blow most consistently from November through May
- •Chris Bobryk and the Miami kiteboarding community are out there regularly
Rocket League (When the Wind Is Not Right)
If there is no wind, the competitive itch gets scratched differently.
- •Grand Champion level player
- •1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 competitive modes
- •The mechanical skill ceiling in this game is infinite
- •Good for hand-eye coordination and competitive fire on no-wind days
Evening
6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Sunset & Wind Down
Miami Beach sunsets from the bay side are extraordinary. This is the reset.
- •Walk to Sunset Harbour to watch the sun set over the Miami skyline
- •Dinner: home-cooked or a restaurant on Lincoln Road or Sunset Harbour
- •Call family, catch up with friends, decompress from the day
Writing & Content
The evening is for writing. Articles, research notes, website content, and long-form thinking.
- •Write investment articles and research for Seeking Alpha or the blog
- •Build new pages and content for glenbradford.com
- •Draft movie scripts, book outlines, and creative projects
- •The quiet evening hours are when the best ideas come together
Community & Learning
End the day with learning, community, or just being present.
- •X (Twitter) for market discussions, tech conversations, and community
- •Read before bed: fiction, history, or investing
- •No screens 30 minutes before sleep
- •Gratitude for living on an island where this life is possible

The Philosophy
The day is designed around one principle: earn the right to do what you love by doing what you must. Fitness first because it sharpens everything else. Deep work before shallow work. Investing research before email. Kiteboarding only after the work is done (unless the wind is really good, in which case all bets are off).
Living on Miami Beach makes this easier than it should be. The weather is a gift. The ocean is a reset button. The lack of a commute gives you two extra hours a day. No state income tax means more of your money stays yours. And the people you meet here — athletes, entrepreneurs, creatives, immigrants who built something from nothing — keep you inspired and hungry.
I do not have this figured out. The structure changes when life changes. But the principles stay the same: train every day, read every day, build every day, and get on the water whenever you can.
