Dwayne Douglas Johnson, universally known as "The Rock," is an actor, producer, entrepreneur, and former professional wrestler who has become one of the highest-earning entertainers in history. Born in Hayward, California, Johnson grew up in a wrestling family — his father Rocky Johnson and grandfather Peter Maivia were both professional wrestlers — but his path to success was anything but guaranteed.
