I received a request for Exhibit PP, which FHFA describes as an excerpt from deposition testimony by Joseph Mason, an expert witness for shareholders, revealing he didn’t know FHFA asked Treasury in 2009 to permit the Enterprises to pay down the liquidation preference and Treasury declined request. Exhibit PP remains under seal at this time.
I’ve received additional requests for Exhibits I and J (2009 correspondence asking Treasury to permit payment of the liquidation preference) and NN, OO, PP and QQ (reports and additional testimony from Dr. Mason). Those exhibits also remain under seal at this time.
