U.S. Senators Brown, Cortez Masto, Van Hollen and Warren and U.S. Representatives Waters, Clay, Cleaver, Green, Maloney, Meeks, Pelosi, Sherman, Vargus and Velazquez sought and obtained permission to file an amicus brief in the Fifth Circuit defending Congress’ choice about how to structure FHFA as it did and arguing that FHFA is constitutionally structured.
