Cause of Action Institute filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia today seeking access, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, to all records transmitted from FHFA, Treasury and other agencies, to the House Committee on Financial Services. Chairman Hensarling, supposedly, has directed FHFA, Treasury, and other agencies to shield those records from public view.
