So, outside of stuff like a bed, 2 desks, 5 monitors, a $1500 computer, a $1200 laptop, a tooth brush, tooth paste and like 6 pairs of shoes, 15 dress shirts, 3 nice suits, 6 bad suits, a coat, 5 pairs of pants, maybe like 30 dress shirts and 4 dress pants, lots of shirts, never enough socks or underwear, and whatever is in the fridge… everything i own is in fmckj or fnmas. i’ve got something like 63408 shares of fmckj and fnmas combined… i’m like 80% fmckj because they are perpetual and not callable.. mostly because i’m afraid the fnmas get called at $25 later this year
so, the last time i totalled my debt it was like $113K but then i took out $14K from upstart and $24K from sofi.. so that’s around $150K of debt plus or minus depending .. i’m also running up a credit card now.
so if i have $150K of debt and 63408 shares @ $5..
that means that my net worth is $167,040.. and i’m long $317,040.
on the outside say that they start paying dividends, then to me after tax i’m looking at over $100K of revenue from these shares after tax and i can hopefully on margin refinance that debt at 3% so the cost of this debt per annum is $4500 instead of the $30,000 a year i’m paying now because of the amortization schedule associated with personal unsecured lines of credit… people rag on credit cards but at least there you’re not forced to actually pay down your debt. haha. balloon payments are welcome on credit cards but you also pay higher rates there.
actually just checked it, if i refinance on margin at current rates my throughput assuming fnmas continues paying dividends past this year is just over $100,000 after tax on fmckj/fnmas … all taxes and penalties included if i decided to withdraw from tax sheltered accounts
i decided to include mr money mustache on this post because i read his blog and i think the whole ere thing is great and all but the emphasis is always on cutting costs instead of absolutely killing it.
live within your means, the more you do, the more you can do
i also included jody shenn because he likes to laugh at me
