Happy birthday Mark.
1. Teach your kids the importance of not being an intermittant quitter. I never really was able to quit anything because not doing something required that I quit it indefinately or for at least that season. Missing practices or games in the sports that I played in would have resulted in me not being able to play at all. Honesly, I probably should have quit it all much sooner, but the fact that there is no itermittant quitting made me stick with some things a lot longer than i otherwise would have. the value of this is in establishing habits, i’m so used to this sort of thing that once i establish a habit in my life, it is one of those things were i dont make excuses.
2. take time while your kids are kids and throw a ball with them. i mean, it’s the american dream to throw a baseball with your first born son, i figure. mark checked this box.
3. marry someone like wendy bradford. in the case between mark and wendy bradford, both have their positives and negatives and both are more or less off balance. it’s like one has their left leg and the other has their right leg…. so together they can stand better than they could stand if they weren’t together. sure they have their weird stuff and although few admit it, mark is actually weirder than wendy if you ask me — wendy just is more indifferent to showing it and has a zealousness about family involvement that is hilarious.
4. alright. i quit. i could only come up with 3 things, but that’s good enough if you ask me. blame the meds and the fact i got my wisdom teeth out 4 hours ago.
